Hornbeam
Height: Can grow up to 20 meters.
Characteristics: Found in mixed forests in regions of Türkiye outside of Central Anatolia and Southeastern Anatolia. Its trunk is grayish in color and has indentations and protrusions. Its serrated leaves, covered with tiny hairs, are one of its most distinctive features. Its hard wood is used in furniture making.
